ADVOCATES AWARD

Each year, Mental Health Advocacy Services presents the Advocates Award to an individual working to make a difference in the lives of people with mental health disabilities. In 2018, MHAS also established the Jim Preis Memorial Award in memory of our late Executive Director.

2020 Advocates Award Honoree: Esme Weijun Wang (Award-Winning Author of the Collected Schizophrenias) and 2020 Jim Preis Memorial Award Honoree: Patrick Kennedy (Former Congressman and Mental Health Advocate)
