MHAS Receives Grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation
We are proud and honored to announce that MHAS has received a $50,000 general operating grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation. The grant will support MHAS' work of providing free legal legal services to low-income people with mental health disabilities. For the 3,000+ clients that we serve each year, free legal representation is key to obtaining access to the public benefits, fair housing protections, and special education services needed to achieve stability and improve their living conditions.
