MHAS Ethics Training – Monday 10/23/17

MHAS celebrated ABA Pro Bono Week with a free MCLE ethics training on Monday, 10/23, for private practitioners and public interest attorneys.  The training was presented by Jim Preis, Naomi Sultan and Nishanthi Kurukulasuriya on the ethical issues raised for attorneys when working with clients who might present with decision making challenges.  MHAS’s goal in providing the training was to give attorneys strategies for working with clients to ensure client autonomy and to reduce barriers to pro bono representation.  Bet Tzedek partnered with MHAS and hosted the training at its offices.
