Open Mind Film Screening by The Friends of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior at UCLA
Our Executive Director, Jim Preis, will be taking part in a discussion along with Professor Elyn Saks, Professor at USC Gould School of Law and Director of the Saks Institute for Mental Health Law, Policy, and Ethics following the screening of The Academy Award-nominated animated short documentary film, “Last Day of Freedom,” a film by Dee Hibbert-Jones & Nomi Talisman. The film is a portrait of a man at the nexus of the most pressing social issues of our day – veterans’ care, mental health access and criminal justice.
